What changed once they could prove it.

Real results from organisations using SQEPtech today. We keep our clients' names private, so you'll see the sector, the problem and what moved.

Fire and rescue
76% → 98%quarterly breathing apparatus training compliance
  • eSQEP Training Management alongside Cornerstone
  • Whole-time crews across a metropolitan service

From chasing the red to staying green.

The problem

Training dashboards were at least 24 hours old. Crews waited for skills to drop out of currency before retraining, and watch officers booked training just in time instead of planning ahead. Reporting meant pulling from several ageing systems by hand.

What we did

We put eSQEP's training and competency matrix alongside the service's Cornerstone LMS. Upcoming training is pushed to each firefighter before it lapses, watch officers see their whole watch in a simple traffic-light view, and practical training is booked up in two clicks and recorded straight away.

What changed

  • Quarterly breathing apparatus training compliance rose from 76% to 98%.
  • Watch officers plan training ahead instead of reacting to lapses.
  • One source of truth for training, with reports anyone can run.

As a manager, this is a game changer for me. I can see within a couple of clicks the progress being made with training completion.

Policing
Cohort after cohortrolled out month by month, with more units planned
  • eSQEP Competency Management
  • Two-year student officer programme

From training completed to competence proven.

The problem

One of the UK's largest police forces trains several cohorts of student officers every year. Training sat in an LMS, assessments lived in spreadsheets and documents, and behaviour wasn't tracked at all. Leaders had no single view of who was ready to deploy.

What we did

We mapped training outcomes to competency frameworks for each discipline and built three structured assessments into year one. Assessors record RAG-rated judgements in real time, including live scenario assessments, and behaviours sit alongside skills and knowledge in each officer's record.

What changed

  • A full two-year competency view for every student officer.
  • Consistent, auditable assessments across cohorts.
  • Behaviour linked to competence for the first time.
  • New cohorts are added one after another as the programme expands.
Health and social care
Teams + Cornerstonevirtual classrooms people know how to join
  • vILTPlus for Cornerstone
  • National care provider

Fewer no-shows, fewer support queries.

The problem

High no-show rates and a constant stream of colleagues who couldn't get into virtual classrooms, with little to show for the platform they were paying for.

What we did

We connected their Cornerstone sessions to Microsoft Teams with vILTPlus, a tool their people already used every day. Our team set it up, gave them everything they needed to test it, and switches features on and off as their needs change.

What changed

  • Virtual sessions run in Teams, with recordings and resources kept alongside each session.
  • Learners are better equipped to learn virtually, which has helped embed their capability framework.
  • Regular releases, many shaped by their own feedback.

We have never looked back and fully intend on continuing to work with SQEPtech in the long term.
